Product Details

Rubber expansion joints are flexible connectors fabricated of nature rubber or synthetic elastomers, steel ring and fabrics, and when necessary, metallic reinforcements provide stress relief in piping systems due to thermal and mechanical vibration and/or movements. DEVEL® Rubber Expansion Joints provide relief from stresses caused by thermal expansion and contraction in pipelines. Movement is always experienced in piping systems due to varying ambient temperatures, differences in temperature of materials handled, and differences in composition. Expansion joints absorb this movement and eliminate the danger of buckling or pulling apart with the high replacement costs that would result.

DEVEL ® Engineers can solve anticipated problems of vibration, noise, shock, corrosion, abrasion, stresses and space by incorporating rubber expansion joints into designed piping systems.

DEVEL Series HX602 is a double super-wide flowing arch design. It’s self-cleaning, which eliminates the need for a filled arch design and makes it the perfect choice for slurries. The Series HD601 can replace and be interchanged with hand-built narrow/wide arch, molded wide arch, and spherical type expansion joints.

FAQ

What's the DN and PN?

DN (Nominal Diameter) is a standardized size label for pipes/fittings (approximate ID for compatibility, not exact dimension). PN (Nominal Pressure) is the rated pressure capacity (usually in bar, e.g., PN16 = 16 bar). Both specify size and pressure resistance in piping systems.

What's the material?

"Material" refers to the substance or matter from which something is made, such as metal, plastic, wood, etc.

What's the connection(flange or thread)?

"Connection" here refers to how components are joined. Flange uses flat plates with bolts, and thread (threaded connection) uses screw-like ridges for assembly, like in pipes or fittings.

What's the standard(ANSI, DIN, BS, JIS)?

These are industrial standards organizations: ANSI (USA): American National Standards Institute. DIN (Germany): Deutsches Institut für Normung. BS (UK): British Standards. JIS (Japan): Japanese Industrial Standards. They set technical specifications for products (e.g., pipes, flanges, machinery).

What's the medium working with?

"Medium working with" typically refers to the substance or material that flows through or interacts with a system (e.g., pipes, equipment), such as water, gas, oil, chemicals, or air.
